The 7-foot-7 Romanian giant, who became a viral sensation during his basketball career because of his incredible height, is continuing to carve out an unexpected second act in Hollywood.
Bobroczkyi recently landed a role in the horror film Backrooms, per SlashFilm, marking another major appearance after previously portraying the terrifying Offspring creature in 2024's Alien: Romulus.

For basketball fans, Bobroczkyi's story remains one of the more unusual career paths in recent memory.
Born in Romania, he gained international attention as a teenager while playing high school basketball in the United States. His rare combination of size and skill made him a social media phenomenon, with highlight videos routinely generating millions of views.
Though many wondered if he might eventually reach the professional ranks, Bobroczkyi's basketball journey ultimately took a different turn.
Now, his extraordinary frame is helping him build a career in the film industry.
In Alien: Romulus, Bobroczkyi portrayed the Offspring, one of the film's most unsettling creatures. The role earned praise from horror fans, many of whom pointed to the former basketball player's unique appearance as a major reason the character felt so disturbing and memorable.
That success appears to have opened the door for additional opportunities.
Bobroczkyi is now featured in Backrooms, another horror project that relies heavily on eerie visuals and unsettling characters.
While his days as a basketball prospect may be behind him, Bobroczkyi continues to find new ways to stand out.
Not many former players can say they traded the hardwood for Hollywood. Fewer still can say they're becoming one of horror's most recognizable creatures.
