The 2012 comedy is now available to watch for free on Tubi.

Kevin James stars as Scott Voss, a burned-out high school biology teacher who comes up with an unusual plan to save his school's struggling music program. With budget cuts threatening to eliminate the class, Scott decides to step into the world of mixed martial arts, hoping to earn enough prize money to keep the program alive.

What starts as a desperate fundraising idea quickly turns into an unlikely underdog story.

James is joined by an impressive cast that includes Henry Winkler as the school's beloved music teacher, Salma Hayek as the school nurse and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who appears as himself.

As Scott's confidence grows inside the cage, he also rediscovers his passion for teaching, inspiring both his students and fellow teachers along the way.

Released in 2012, Here Comes the Boom earned mixed reviews from critics but found an audience thanks to its blend of comedy, heart and action. The film went on to gross more than $73 million worldwide.

For fans of MMA, the movie also features appearances from several well-known UFC personalities, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the fight sequences.

More than a decade later, Here Comes the Boom remains an easy, crowd-pleasing watch. If you missed it the first time around, or just want to revisit one of Kevin James' more underrated comedies, it's now streaming free on Tubi.
