Andrew Yaffe is leaving his position as CEO of the hugely popular sports and entertainment group after roughly two years on the job, the company confirmed.

Yaffe was Dude Perfect's first CEO and had been brought aboard to help turn the YouTube phenomenon into an even larger entertainment business.

According to Business Insider, the departure came after Yaffe and Dude Perfect's board developed different views about where the company should go next.

"After two years of strong growth, Andrew and the Board have decided that now is the right time for new leadership at Dude Perfect," the two sides said in a joint statement. "As the social media landscape continues to evolve, they developed different perspectives on the company's next phase and the best path forward."

Patrick Hurley, a principal at BP Capital Fund Advisors and an advisor to Dude Perfect, will take over as interim CEO while the company searches for a permanent replacement.

Yaffe, a former NBA executive, said separately that the two sides had "decided to go our separate ways."

Dude Perfect was founded in 2009 by Garrett Hilbert, Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Coby Cotton and Cory Cotton. What started with sports trick-shot videos has since become a massive business with more than 60 million YouTube subscribers, merchandise, live tours and major brand partnerships.

The company also received more than $100 million in outside investment in 2024 as it looked to expand beyond YouTube.

So this isn't five buddies making trick-shot videos in the backyard anymore. And apparently, the question of where Dude Perfect goes from here was significant enough to warrant a new CEO.
