In a message shared on social media, Marlowe announced that he will no longer serve as the team's play-by-play broadcaster after more than 20 years with Altitude Sports.

"After 22 incredible years, my time calling Nuggets basketball on Altitude has come to an end," Marlowe wrote, thanking viewers, colleagues and the organization for their support throughout his tenure.

Marlowe has been one of the most recognizable voices in Denver sports since Altitude launched in 2004. Beyond his work covering the Nuggets, the former Olympic gold medalist has also spent years calling beach volleyball for NBC, including multiple Olympic Games.

News of Marlowe's departure comes amid broader changes at Altitude. Earlier Wednesday, Bennett Durando and Troy Renck of The Denver Post reported that longtime analyst Scott Hastings and studio analyst Chris Dempsey were also leaving the network.

According to the Post, Hastings is expected to remain with Altitude Radio, where he co-hosts a sports talk show.

For many Nuggets fans, Marlowe's voice became synonymous with the franchise's rise from playoff hopeful to NBA champion. His calls helped narrate some of the most memorable moments in team history, including Denver's run to its first NBA title.

While changes in sports broadcasting are common, the departure of Marlowe marks the end of an era for a generation of Nuggets viewers.

Additional details regarding Altitude's future broadcast plans have not yet been announced.
