Popular Australian sports broadcaster Duncan McKenzie-McHarg has died at age 41, his family confirmed.

McKenzie-McHarg died Wednesday in Los Angeles after falling from a building, according to police. The Los Angeles County coroner's office said he fell from the top of the structure and landed on a lower roof. The death was listed as a suicide in a case report obtained by Entertainment Weekly.
Tributes quickly filled McKenzie-McHarg's Instagram page, with colleagues and fans expressing shock and grief over his sudden passing.
His family released a statement Monday describing the loss as devastating.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Duncan, a deeply loved son, a devoted father to his precious boy Harrison, and a cherished brother to his three siblings," the statement read. "His passing has come as an unimaginable shock, leaving our family heartbroken and at a loss."

The family described McKenzie-McHarg as someone whose positivity, care and humor left a lasting impression on those around him.
McKenzie-McHarg built a career as a globetrotting sports reporter, working with Fox Sports, Channel Seven, Network Ten and Stan Sport. He most recently appeared on Stan Sport's tennis coverage and was courtside at the US Open in August, interviewing players including Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka and Australia's Alex de Minaur.
He began his media career at Triple M after earning a journalism degree and later became a sports presenter on Melbourne's Hot Breakfast radio show alongside Eddie McGuire and Luke Darcy. The program ran for 11 years before ending in 2020, and McKenzie-McHarg previously credited McGuire as a mentor.
After later roles with Channel Seven and Network Ten, McKenzie-McHarg moved to the United States, pursuing what he once described as a dream opportunity to live and work in Los Angeles.
"I wake up every day in Los Angeles, and most of the time it's sunny," he said in a 2023 interview. "It's pretty special."
