Brooks Nader is heading to the beach. And yeah, this feels like a perfect fit.

Nader will play Selene, a sharp-tongued lifeguard captain at Zuma Beach who doesn't exactly see eye-to-eye with the show's lead, Hobie Buchannon, as Deadline revealed. That's Stephen Amell's character, now all grown up and following in the footsteps of his legendary dad.

Expect tension right away. Selene and Hobie have very different styles when it comes to saving lives, and things only get messier once Hobie's long-lost daughter enters the picture. Their rivalry? It goes deeper than just lifeguard duties.

This reboot is leaning into everything fans remember. Fast rescues. Beach drama. Complicated relationships. And yes, the iconic red swimsuits are back.

The cast also includes Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, and Thaddeus LaGrone, with original Baywatch star David Chokachi returning in a recurring role.

Production is expected to begin this spring in Los Angeles, with scenes set for Venice Beach and the Fox Studio lot.

The original Baywatch became a global phenomenon, reaching more than a billion viewers at its peak and launching several major careers. Now it's getting a modern update.

And with Nader stepping into the mix, this version already has people paying attention.
