Jason Sudeikis has spent years moving forward from his split with Olivia Wilde, but apparently some old wounds haven't entirely disappeared.

The Ted Lasso star was reportedly blindsided after Wilde publicly revisited a painful exchange from near the end of their relationship.
Wilde recalled asking Sudeikis whether he had bought her a birthday present, only for him to allegedly respond, "What would I get you, Olivia? I don't even know you."
According to entertainment journalist Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice newsletter, Sudeikis wasn't thrilled to see the private moment become public.
"Jason is incredibly private and was shocked to see this story resurface years later," a source told Shuter. "His first thought was their children. One day they'll read these interviews, and that's what hurts the most."
Sudeikis and Wilde share two children and ended their engagement in 2020 after nearly a decade together.
Their breakup eventually became a much larger celebrity story when Wilde began dating Harry Styles, whom she met while directing Don't Worry Darling.
Sources close to Sudeikis also pushed back against the idea that one exchange tells the entire story of the relationship's collapse, describing the situation as considerably more complicated.
These days, Sudeikis is reportedly focused on co-parenting and his own life.
But according to those close to him, he'd prefer the details of a breakup that happened years ago remain exactly where they were. As in, in the past.
