Two professional hockey players are getting ready to make it official.

PWHL stars Emily Clark and Jaime Bourbonnais announced their engagement on social media, adding another celebration to what has already been a memorable summer around the league.
"The joy of my life," Clark wrote in announcing the news.
Bourbonnais was equally enthusiastic, writing, "Forever and ever and ever!!!"
The two have plenty of hockey history together.
Clark currently plays for PWHL Hamilton after spending the league's first three seasons with the Ottawa Charge. Bourbonnais, meanwhile, is a defender for the New York Sirens and has been with the organization since the PWHL's inaugural season.
According to The Hockey News, Clark and Bourbonnais first met while playing for Canada's national team and began dating during the pandemic. At the time, both were living and training in Montreal with the PWHPA and Canadian national program.
They've also shared some pretty significant moments on the ice.
Clark and Bourbonnais have represented Canada together in international competition, collecting two World Championship gold medals along with a silver and bronze.
Now they'll be teammates in a slightly different sense.
Interestingly, they're also not the only PWHL couple to get engaged this summer. Toronto Sceptres defenders Kali Flanagan and Allie Munroe announced their engagement as well.
Apparently, it's been a pretty good offseason for hockey and wedding planners alike.
