Actress AnnaLynne McCord (who starred in 90210) has been privately engaged to former rugby star Danny Cipriani after a surprise Christmas proposal at her Los Angeles home. And it hit her hard, as relayed by PEOPLE.
"I cried for 10 minutes straight," McCord revealed, describing the moment Cipriani got down on one knee surrounded by family. "At some point, I realized I had to answer."

She did (but not without a laugh): "I said, 'Yes, but I can't even speak,' and he told me, 'That's a good sign that you're quiet for once.'"
That pretty much sums up the tone here. Big emotions. Real connection. A little humor mixed in.
What makes the story even better is how close they both were to proposing at the same time. Neither knew the other had already bought a promise ring over Thanksgiving, each planning to take that next step.
At one point, McCord even considered proposing herself.Her sisters shut that down quickly.

"When I look at Danny, he's home to me," McCord said.
And now, they're getting ready to make it official.
