2018's recruiting rankings see new man at the top

Will he stay at the top?

Most of the talk for the 2018 recruiting class has swirled around Marvin Bagley and deservedly so. During the summer run of the Nike EYBL he averaged 20.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game to go with 1.6 blocks. However, there was another top notch talent working in his shadow on the adidas circuit in Zion Williamson.

Williamson averaged 20 points, four rebounds and two steals a game at adidas Nations and shot a ridiculous 82 percent from the floor. He's a 6'7" forward out of Spartanburg, South Carolina and now he's the top recruit for 247Sports in the class of 2018. He's been compared to guys like Larry Johnson, Jamal Washburn and Draymond Green.

While he isn't a great three-pointer shooter yet, he is an explosive athlete and works hard whenever he is on the floor. He can play two or three positions and he's got five big time schools that are considered to be the leaders for his services. Arizona, Clemson, Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina are some of the schools considered favorites. Duke and Kentucky have yet to offer, but the Blue Devils are considered the top choice over in-state Clemson and the Wildcats.
