A bizarre item may sway yet another top prospect away from Alabama

This storyline is both fascinating and borderline unbelievable.

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide are a behemoth on the recruiting trail in a way that is unmatched in the college football world. With that said, even Saban loses a recruiting battle every so often and the Tide were on the short end when it came to uber-elite 2017 defensive tackle Marvin Wilson.

Wilson ended up in Tallahassee as a member of the Florida State Seminoles and he included the crazy reason that FSU sported the "best chicken (he has) ever had in (his) life."

Over the weekend, Alabama may have again been doomed by honey fried chicken if this quote (via 247Sports) from five-star running back commit Dameon Pierce is any indication.

"I come here (FSU) expecting a great time and a great visit and that's exactly what I got. They have a great coaching staff, obviously some great food — that honey fried chicken was the bees knees right there, man!"

Pierce, who hails from Bainbridge, Ga., is committed to Alabama but reportedly attended Florida State's Junior Day over the weekend. On the bright side for Saban, this one exclamation does not indicate that the Tide will be losing his pledge anytime soon, but Florida State seemingly has found a massive recruiting edge from an unlikely and bizarre source.

In fact, Pierce even stated that "FSU is the biggest threat to Alabama" and that should send a chill down the spine of any Alabama staffer or fan.
