Adrian Peterson says he'd like to be back with the Minnesota Vikings next season, but he's also got a couple teams that he fancies if that doesn't happen.

The ten-year veteran running back discussed his future on ESPN's First Take Thursday, saying that although he envisions a return to the team he's played for his entire career, there are other options out there.
"I see myself in purple," Peterson said. "I see myself finishing off in purple...A lot has to take place. It is a business at the end of the day, so things could end up differently...There's a couple teams out there that I've thought about...New York was one of them that popped up. Tampa Bay, a lot of different teams. Houston would be a good spot..."

Peterson also talked about his criteria for deciding where he'd like to end up if Minnesota should fall through. Unsurprisingly, a team that could provide him with that elusive championship was first on the list.
"...Go somewhere where I can win a championship," he continued. "That's my main goal I want to accomplish. A team that has a good defense. A good offensive scheme as well. A great coaching staff.
Peterson's 2016 season was cut short after suffering a torn meniscus in just his second game. He's won the NFL rushing title three times in his career, including in 2012 when he rushed for 2,097 yards.
