After two suspensions, Miami player no longer with the team

This is kind of mysterious.

A few college football team rosters have been thinning out this offseason due to transfers, graduation and early NFL Draft entries. It looks like Miami will be the latest to get hit with some thinning out as rising sophomore defensive back Cedrick Wright has been dismissed from the team.

The Hurricanes released a statement on the dismissal with no specific reason as to why Wright is being dismissed. However, there was this quote from coach Mark Richt:

"I talked to Cedrick and we both felt it was in his best interests to get a fresh start somewhere else, We wish him all the best in his future plans."

Wright was a three-star member of the 2016 recruiting class and appeared in nine games as a true freshman. He was suspended for the game against N.C. State because of unspecified team rules violations and missed the bowl game because of academic issues.
