Former WWE champion is already talking about retirement

His career is winding down.

Alberto El Patron of Impact Wrestling is now 40-years-old and he knows he's close to retiring from professional wrestling for good. In previous interviews, El Patron has admitted he's got around three years left, and in a recent interview, reiterated that he's going to be retiring soon and it could be less than three years from now.

El Patron spoke with Wrestling Inc's Akhilesh Gannavarapu about his future, and he revealed that, "I'm tired. I'm just tired," which certainly sounds like retirement is coming sooner rather than later.

El Patron being ready to hang up his boots is totally understandable and should be expected with his age and the mileage he has put on his body over the years. El Patron started wrestling for the AAA promotion 17 years ago, and, after a great run(s) with the WWE, El Patron now finds himself in Impact Wrestling where he sees himself finishing up.

The former WWE champion doesn't want to walk away from wrestling entirely, though, as he said he plans to work with Impact Wrestling after he retires as an agent and/or producer, which would make a lot of sense.

El Patron is a two-time WWE Champion.
