The Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers faced off in a snow-infested matchup Sunday afternoon, and that caused plenty of problems during halftime of the contest.

Snow plows attempted to clear the field as the snow continued pouring, but they dug a bit too deep and uncovered black pellets all over the ground.
As Pro Football Talk points out, that could be bad news:
Those black pellets provide cushion. When snow removal causes them to accumulate on the sidelines in Buffalo, the field gets even harder.

Hopefully no one is seriously injured as a result of those pellets.
