Broncos could turn to a guy who hasn't thrown an NFL pass instead of lowly Mark Sanchez

This would be a massive upset.

Despite trading for Mark Sanchez as the only veteran quarterback on the Denver Broncos roster this offseason, the former New York Jet and Philadelphia Eagle isn't guaranteed to be the starter heading into the season.

In fact, according to the Denver Post, the job is anyone's to win, even second-year quarterback Trevor Siemian:

As for first-round pick Paxton Lynch, Renck noted it's setting up to be a "redshirt year," where Denver will groom him this year and position him as the starter next year.

Tim Tebow was rumored to have the advantage even through the preseason last season, but Sanchez still won out in the end in Philly.

We'll see if he has what it takes to overcome what would be a massive upset in the eyes of many in Denver.
