Buckeye decommit has Ohio State tattoo covered up after enrolling at new school

A former Ohio State commit had to take a drastic measure to cover up for a tattoo misfire.

Danny Clark committed to play college football at Ohio State during his freshman season in high school. As you might expect, the proposed marriage between player and program did not work out as planned, resulting in Clark decommitting from Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes during the 2016 season. In short order, Clark pledged his loyalty to the Kentucky Wildcats and, while he enrolled in Lexington, there was one small problem.

Clark had elected to get an Ohio State tattoo previously.

To make up for that misfire in judgment, Clark created a remedy before landing on campus, and it came in the form of a touch-up to his arm.

This is probably the best course of action for the 6-foot-4, 230-pound pro-style quarterback, especially because walking around Kentucky's campus with an Ohio State tattoo wouldn't go over well. Removing a tattoo of that size would be (quite) painful and, if not for previous knowledge, no one would be able to tell the difference here.

In a few months, no one will remember that Danny Kelly was ever committed to Ohio State or that the Buckeyes moved on from him, at least in part, to pursue other options like Tate Martell. To that end, this isn't a big deal but it is certainly amusing and the young man appears to have the right mindset in moving on accordingly.
