California has officially fired head coach Sonny Dykes and that means the rumor mill is a full steam ahead. In fact, there have been a couple of names floated around already including a couple former NFL head coaches. One includes a guy who has no experience as a college head coach:

The other is a former college coach who got a pro job because of his excellent college track record:

And one analyst even believes that Helfrich could join Kelly once again —- they were at Oregon together —- and form a dynamic duo just like the glory days.

It seems there is one more serious contender as well that could be getting a look at the California head coaching job.

All of these options would certainly be interesting ones, but of course are just speculation and rumors at this point. But you know you want to see at least one of these hirings happen.
