Nearly a year ago, the Tigers held Alabama to a 14-14 tie into halftime, but watched the game go out of control with the furious finish ending in a thrilling 45-40 loss.
Both teams handled their respective opponents with ease on New Year's Eve, with Alabama beating up on Washington (24-7) and Clemson rolling through Ohio State (31-0).
