If Colin Kaepernick continues his protest, he'll have to do so on a "Salute to Military" night

Talk about timing.

Colin Kaepernick's stance, or decision to sit rather, during the national anthem has been a talking point for much of the week.

It's about to get even worse with the San Francisco 49ers' scheduled preseason finale against the San Diego Chargers.

According to Adam Schefter, that's when the Chargers plan to honor the military:

While some might take that as a jab by the Chargers against Kaepernick, it is an event that has reportedly been planned for a several months:

While there were certainly active military at previous games, Kaepernick's decision to sit Thursday would be on a evening specifically dedicated to servicemen and women.

From former teammates to his mother and even people that agree with his stance, Kaepernick has drawn all kinds of reactions. Don't expect those responses to stop anytime, as it seems Kaepernick's heels are dug in and he's looking to make an impact.
