College football legend has reportedly found another coaching job

This came out of left field.

FIU recently fired their football coach Ron Turner and was in fact, the first head coach fired this season. The Panthers never won more than five games under Turner and started this year 0-4.

There were reports that legendary Miami and North Carolina coach Butch Davis was in talks to come on and try to bring this FIU program into some sort of relevancy.

Davis was responsible for a 51-20 record during his time at Miami (1995-2000) and 28-23 record at North Carolina (2007-2010). He was also one of many coaches to go through the NFL's Cleveland Browns where he compiled a 24-35 record.

The Associated Press is reporting that the deal is for five years and that Davis has already notified ESPN of his departure.
