Dallas Cowboys coach has a surprising take on free agent QB Colin Kaepernick

He's not exactly wrong.

Colin Kaepernick has been rumored on several occasions to be getting close to deals with NFL teams, but nothing has become concrete yet. The Seahawks were reportedly close until money became an issue and coach Pete Carroll basically said Kaepernick was overqualified to be his backup QB. Now, there's another coach saying Kaepernick should have a job.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback coach Wade Wilson said that he believes Kaepernick should have a job somewhere, but of course wouldn't consider signing the free agent himself. Mike Fisher from 105.3 The Fan relayed a quote he got from the QB coach about Kaepernick and why potentially doesn't have a job right now:

"Personally, do I think [Kaepernick is unemployed] because of some of the stuff that he's done? Yes," Wilson said. "Is that unfair or fair? I don't know. But it's real. Colin Kaepernick is a talented guy. He's taken a team to a Super Bowl. He's talented enough to be on a team."

While Wilson said Kaepernick might be talented enough to be on a team, it's apparently not the Cowboys as they worked out former Giants backups Ryan Nassib rather than the former San Francisco 49er. Fisher then went on to say that Kaepernick is actually in a middle ground between not being good enough to start for teams, but still good enough to cause a QB controversy depending on the team he may sign with down the road.
