South Florida scored on their first play of the game to take a 7-0 lead, so Cook and Florida State responded in kind by scoring from the next play from scrimmage. Cook took the handoff down the left side of the field, dodging one tackler as he took the ball to the house.
By the end of the first quarter, Florida State has a 28-14 lead on South Florida. Cook already has over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the day.
