Duke and UNC end up on wrong side of history with start of ACC play

Uh oh.

North Carolina and Duke were both ranked in the top ten going into their first ACC game of the season. However, without Grayson Allen for Duke and Theo Pinson for UNC, neither team could quite get it together and earn their first conference win of the season. In fact, they ended up on the wrong side of history with their same-day losses.

UNC lost at Georgia Tech who is playing its first season under new head coach Josh Pastner while Duke lost at Virginia Tech in its first game of the Grayson Allen suspension. It will be interesting to see if Coach K deems that loss serious enough to bring Allen back and make him realize how his actions cost his team wins.
