Duke fans can't be too happy about all of the losses both potential and real that have occurred so far this offseason. Jayson Tatum will leave —- as he declared for the NBA Draft —- while Chase Jeter has already decided to transfer this summer. It seems that with the potential for Grayson Allen, Marques Bolden, Luke Kennard and Harry Giles to go pro, some players would stay to get their playing time. That would not be the case for forward Sean Obi.

Obi started out at Rice averaging 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, but transferred to Duke after the 2013-14 season and sat out a season per NCAA transfer rules. However, he only averaged 0.5 points and one rebound in 2.7 minutes of playing time for Duke this season. Obi will graduate this spring and become eligible immediately to play elsewhere. There's one school in the Power-5 that may be able to use his services right away and give him the time he wants.
This tweet references center John Egbunu's ACL tear and how he is likely not going to be ready by the time the season starts and could even miss major parts of it if not all of it.
