ESPN analyst would put one surprise team over Ohio State in Playoff

Is he out of his mind?

The College Football Rankings will be released Tuesday night and while there might not be a shake up this week, we could see one the next week because No. 2 and No. 3 in the rankings —- Ohio State and Michigan, respectively —- will play each other and could knock the other out of the Playoff picture.

However, ESPN analyst Mark May says there's another Big Ten team that would be a better choice. He believes that Wisconsin should be in because the Badger defense has been great and the offense has been improving. Here's his full statement from the show he did on Sunday:

"They also have a non-conference victory over LSU. If you look at their resume and the way that they're playing, they're getting better offensively — When I watch them as a team — we know their defense is salty, they're one of the best defenses in the country. But their offense is finally picking it up at the end of the season.

"I think if they win the Big Ten championship, if Ohio State has one loss — that means something. If you're a conference champion, that means something. Even if you lost you still get in. They've got two losses to two of the best teams in the country, they're peaking at the right time.

"I'd put Wisconsin in over Ohio State."

The Badgers were No. 5 in the AP Poll this week so that might be a hint of what's to come. We'll have to wait and see how the games play out to see if May's prediction will come true. Wisconsin plays at home against Minnesota this week.
