ESPN may have just had its worst month in company history

ESPN's downward spiral continues.

It looks like the struggle is continuing for ESPN.

Multiple outlets are reporting that ESPN lost 621,000 subscribers in the month of October, which would be the worst month in company history.

According to FOX Sports' Clay Travis, ESPN had been averaging about 300,000 in subscriber losses before this month.

While many networks are experiencing subscriber losses due to the rise of streaming services, ESPN continues to be one of the networks that is impacted the most. While ESPN's own streaming services appear to be doing well, there is no replacement for cable subscription losses, where ESPN makes a great amount of revenue.

Combine these losses with all of the talent that ESPN has lost recently, and you can make a fair conclusion that the company has not had a good year. Maybe things can turn around, but for now, things don't look good for the four-letter network.
