Former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott made his NFL debut Thursday in Dallas' 27-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and boy was it a promising one.

On the surface, Elliott didn't do anything particularly special; he finished with 48 yards on seven carries with no touchdowns.
What he did do was run with decisiveness and physicality, on this play in particular.
Kam Chancellor, one of the NFL's hardest-hitting safeties, had several collisions with Elliott and said he was "surprised" by the rookie's physicality.
"The second time, you know I'm bringing that wood. I was a little surprised the first time, but he's got a lot of courage for that," Chancellor said, according to ESPN. "I'll give it to him. But if it was a full game, it would have been a bloodbath."
No one can deny Chancellor would have brought "the wood" far more often had this game meant something so either team. Still watching Elliott's run has to give Cowboys fans something to smile about.
