Florida continues historical streak with win over UMass

Florida definitely knows how to schedule.

The Florida Gators didn't win in overwhelming fashion against UMass, but did keep a record alive with the 24-7 win. The Gators have the longest active streak of wins in a season opener at 27 now.

Starting quarterback Luke Del Rio threw the ball 44 times, a number much larger than any other QB from last season. He completed 29 of those attempts for 256 yards and two touchdowns to solidify his starting spot. Florida also had five different rushers who totaled 107 yards on the ground. The Gators held the Minutemen to less than 200 total yards and only seven points so it wasn't a bad night overall for Gator fans.
