Florida receiver played an entire half with a season-ending injury

Dude is a warrior!

Florida receiver and JUCO transfer Dre Massey will miss the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury against UMass in the home and season opener for the Gators. The injury occurred on the opening kickoff, but Massey wasn't going to let that stop him from playing.

He ended up playing the entire half with what would turn out to be a season-ending injury. The kid is clearly tough and was supposed to be a huge part of the offense this year, but now he'll have to rehab his injury and try to come back even stronger from it. It certainly impressed his quarterback in Luke Del Rio:

"That's a hard injury to have happen to him, but I think he showed how tough he is. He got hurt on the first play and played the whole first half."

Massey didn't get the chance to record a reception, but that should give him even more motivation going into next season and his recovery process.
