Florida State could be missing key starter vs. Louisville

Not good timing for Florida State.

Tomahawk Nation originally reported on Thursday night that Florida State defensive end Josh Sweat had suffered a knee injury in practice, and it was unclear if he was going to travel to Saturday's game against Louisville.

247Sports later reported that Sweat's injury was not serious and that it did not require an MRI. However, his status for Saturday is still uncertain, and Sweat's father said the defensive end's status was "wait and see".

Sweat is a key part of the Seminole defensive line, and Florida State needs all the help it can get on defense to help contain Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. Florida State will already be without start defensive back Derwin James, who suffered a meniscus injury in Week 2.

In 2015, Sweat recorded 41 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and a pick as a freshman. He had three tackles and a tackle for loss through two games this season.
