Dawson will be eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer. Per Landof10, Dawson only played in three games in the 2016 season as a senior.
Dawson will definitely have a chance to showcase his talent more in Ames. The 6-foot-4, 325-pound guard also fills a convenient gap for the Cyclones, as they have two starting offensive lineman departing after graduation this season.
