It was announced last week that LSU wide receiver and former five-star recruit Tyron Johnson would be transferring away from the program. Just a week later, Johnson has a new destination, as he is heading to the Big 12 to play for Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State was originally a finalist for Johnson when he was a recruit. He will be ineligible for the 2016 season, but he will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Johnson only spent one year at LSU before the transfer. He had 150 receiving yards and two touchdowns in nine games of action. That may not sound like a ton, but considering LSU's passing siutation last season, it was good enough for fourth best on the team. According to Tyron's father via The Advocate, Johnson was looking for a "more open" offense.
"He wanted to go to a more wide open offense," Tyrone Johnson told The Advocate on Thursday afternoon. "That was the only reason why."
He definitely wasn't going to get that at LSU. He will have that with the Cowboys, though, as they totaled 4,591 yards through the air in the 2015 season.
