Former LSU standout says he'd prefer this controversial coach over Les Miles

How about this, Tiger fans?

SEC Network analyst Booger McFarland has had some strong takes this season, but this one on his preferred candidate over LSU head coach Les Miles might be the strongest.

While speaking on Rusillo and Kanell, McFarland chimed in that he'd take Lane Kiffin over Miles (H/T SDS):

"I would roll the dice on Lane," McFarland said. "The game has changed offensively. (Miles) is not going to change. If you see where the game is heading offensively, don't you have to go there?"

McFarland played at LSU, but not under Miles. Kiffin coached the Oakland Raiders (2007, 2008), Tennessee Volunteers (2009) and USC Trojans (2010-2013) before landing as an assistant on Nick Saban's staff at Alabama.

He's helped develop the air attack at Alabama and assisted in leading the Crimson Tide to a national championship. He'd be an interesting fit, and certainly a welcome addition to opening up the offense after Miles' resistance to changing with the times in terms of the spread offense.

While rumors continue to develop on Kiffin's next landing spot, the most logical option is him taking over for Saban at Alabama once the legendary head coach is finished.
