Gus Malzahn showed how clueless he is with this statement after loss to Clemson

A look into the mind of Gus Malzahn from Saturday.

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn made one of the worst decisions of his career during Saturday's game against No. 2 Clemson. Instead of naming a starting quarterback and sticking with that player, Malzahn went rogue and decided to play all three of his quarterbacks at varying amounts throughout the game.

Suffice to say, it didn't work, and Malzahn's reasoning on why he did it won't exactly leave Auburn fans happy.

Most teams can't make two quarterbacks work; Malzahn really thought he could shoehorn all three into one game? Not a good look, Coach.

The reason this has to pain Auburn fans is because the team actually had a chance to win the game. The defense played stellar throughout the whole contest, and Auburn actually had a chance on a hail mary at the end. Auburn lost, but the defense definitely gained respect nationwide after their performance.

Will Malzahn wise up going forward? It looks like he is, as he has definitely named Sean White as the starter again, and John Franklin III as the No. 2 guy. Hopefully that sticks, because those two definitely seem like Auburn's top two options for the positions.

Stop trying to make Jeremy Johnson happen, Gus. It's not going to happen.
