Charlie Strong has been on the hot seat despite the fact that he's only in year three at Texas. He hasn't been given a full recruiting cycle and has been forced to start an insane amount of freshmen during his three years there because he got rid of the older players who weren't willing to buy into his system.

There have been a ton of rumors that Strong will be fired at the end of this season because he has not done better than a 6-7 season. However, this stat should be taken into consideration:

If Strong can get to next season with another crop of solid recruits then he should be able to turn around the fortunes of the Texas football program and get to a decent bowl game and maybe even win it. But if he continues to get minimal support from boosters and fans we may never see Texas back on top where it belongs.
