With another week comes another set of challenges for Alabama's seemingly slow offense. It only managed to score 17 points against Washington last week and now Lane Kiffin has essentially been "fired" so he can move on to coach FAU. Freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts apparently had a preference for Sarkisian as told by his roommate in receiver Calvin Ridley.

It looks like Hurts decided to expound on that a little more during the media day leading up to the National Championship against Clemson.
Alabama QB Jalen Hurts on difference b/w OCs: “Kiffin is more laid back, Sarkasian is enthusiastic, electric.”

Ridley specifically said that Hurts seems to be enjoying himself more under Sarkisian than he ever did under Kiffin.
"He told me that he likes coach Sarkisian," said Calvin Ridley. "... He says he's getting a lot of new things that can help him. He's watching a lot more film, breaking things more down to him. I guess he likes the coaching better."
It sounds like Hurts might have confirmed that line of thinking with his media day comments. I guess we'll see how much more comfortable he is on Monday night when he meets the smothering Clemson defense.
