Just 12 months ago, Jim Harbaugh went in to his debut with the Michigan Wolverines without announcing a starting quarterback, to the point where no one knew who the signal-caller would be until the team marched on to the field for the opening series. Now, Harbaugh is following in his own footsteps, releasing this "depth chart" ahead of the 2016 season opener against Hawaii.

Yes, it is game week and Michigan will not release a single modicum of information with regard to its lineup structure.
For those close to the program, this certainly does not come as a shock. It would have been a surprise if Harbaugh actually told anyone who the starting quarterback would be against Hawaii, as Wilton Speight, John O'Korn and Shane Morris are still locked in a battle for that job. However, it is still undeniably amusing that the head coach would troll the fan base (and the opposing team) in this type of way by failing to announce any position's two-deep.
In large part, Michigan's depth chart will be predictable with De'Veon Smith as the starting running back, Jehu Chesson and Amara Darboh as the wide receivers, Jake Butt as the tight end and so on. Still, this is the ultimate in Jim Harbaugh gamesmanship and only he can execute this type of move without much in the way of blow-back.
