Ray Allen gave us some great moments in his 18-year career including bringing Boston its 16th NBA Championship with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. He had many moments as the go-to guy in Milwaukee and Seattle, just gunning the ball in hopes he could do enough to help those teams win.

He joined the Celtics to get that elusive championship ring and he got it. He then became the grizzled vet who could help a team in the locker room and off the bench. He hit "The Shot" against San Antonio in 2013 to absolutely devastate them and lead the Heat to a championship after being down 3-2 in the series.
Allen has been rumored several times to be attempting an NBA comeback, but those efforts fell short. The all-time leader in three-pointers made with 2,973 will officially call it quits and said so in a post with The Players' Tribune.
