People are passionate about sports, and that's a good thing; that is what helps create the awesome atmospheres that we see throughout college football.

Sometimes, though, that passion turns into rage, and that is where things can get out of hand.
According to The Advocate out of Baton Rouge, LSU police are investigating after Les Miles received threatening emails following LSU's loss to Wisconsin in the season opener. The particular email in question stated that they wished for Miles to be fired... or apparently they found "you die" as acceptable.
The LSU Police Department were notified last week after a fan sent a threatening email to Les Miles following the season-opening loss to Wisconsin.
"I hope they fire your stupid (butt) or you die," the fan wrote to Miles in a 140-word email filled with racist undertones regarding the Tigers' starting quarterback situation.

Sounds like a lot went wrong there with that email.
There is nothing acceptable about this. Being a passionate fan means you stick with your team, and potentially speak with your wallet when you are unhappy. Wishing for the coach to die and apparently making racist remarks about the starting quarterback? Not cool.
