Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell had a nice breakout sophomore season by doubling up on his scoring average to 15.6 points per game and more than doubling his field goal attempts to over 13 a game. He finished the year averaging 2.1 steals and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 35.4 percent from beyond the arc and 40.8 percent overall. He initially declared for the NBA Draft before the deadline. Mitchell is trying to capitalize on his breakout season to catapult him into the first round of this year's rather deep NBA Draft. He will likely end up as a low first-rounder or go somewhere in the second round to a team that can play him in the D-League for a year or two to get him ready for the NBA.
