Florida and LSU have been in talks to reschedule their postponed game from this past weekend thanks to Hurricane Matthew. Both sides are holding firm on potential make-up dates with Florida wanting November 19 —- with both teams needing to buyout their out of conference games that day —- while LSU wants it on a date much more convenient for them.

Now, LSU athletic director Joe Alleva is holding even firmer on the Nov. 19th date for the Tigers hosting South Alabama and that will undoubtedly lead to some outrage on both sides.

Alleva offered up the first weekend of December as a potential make-up date, but that would also require moving the SEC Championship Game.
Alleva says, yes, Dec. 3 is an option but a tough one because moving the SEC championship game is difficult. #LSU

Not only is Alleva keeping November 19 for the home game against South Alabama, but he is also demanding that Alabama change its schedule to make everything all even.
#LSU AD Joe Alleva: "We have an open date before the #Alabama game. I'm not in favor of playing that day unless Alabama plays that day."

He then expressed his frustration seeing Georgia and South Carolina play yesterday when his team and Florida could have potentially been playing.
Alleva asked if frustrating to see others play: You know how I feel about that. I watch Ga-SC yesterday and wished we were playing. #LSU

He then went on to offer one more solution to how to figure out who could go to the SEC Championship Game as the East champ:
Alleva said maybe the league needs to consider only division records if the game can't be made up.

So here is a recap of potential dates:
So... #LSU-Florida scenarios:
- Oct. 29: LSU-UF plays but only if #Bama plays that week
- Dec. 3: LSU-UF play & SECCG moves back

And people wonder why two ADs can't get together and come up with a decision. Some are wound a little tighter than others. Florida AD Jeremy Foley has made it clear that he wants to get something done though.
