Zaire was rumored to be headed to Florida for a long time until it was revealed the Gators couldn't take on another graduate transfer because their previous two did not meet certain academic requirements. The SEC still has to rule on whether Florida would be allowed to take on Zaire, but this "decision" might spur the conference to make some changes to allow for it since there will be added pressure.
The SEC meetings are set to take place next month and he is hoping for a favorable new ruling on that. It's believed he would immediately become the Gators' starting quarterback as he is a proven commodity and the staff knows exactly what they have with him on board, should he be allowed to transfer to Florida.
