Minnesota suddenly fired head coach Tracy Claeys on Tuesday afternoon, and the aftermath was something to watch on social media. With all the controversy surround the previously planned boycott of the Holiday Bowl, the situation in Minneapolis was a powder-keg waiting to pop, and boy did it ever once the firing was official.

Minnesota quarterback Mitch Lender was a very outspoken critic of the decision.

Lender wasn't the only one, as ESPN's Brett McMurphy cited an unnamed underclassmen predicting a wave of transfers coming for the program.

Minnesota isn't a top program in college football, but it should be a decent program for a lower-level coach to jump to. However, with all of this now happening, it likely isn't an attractive gig at all, as the next head coach will have a lot to remedy that goes beyond the football field.
