Nebraska's safety got penalized for being an absolute jerk

This may have been harmless ribbing from the Nebraska player but he still got flagged for it

Handing the ball back to the quarterback after an inception might be harmless gamesmanship by today's standards, but it was still enough to draw a flag for Nebraska safety Nate Gerry.

Gerry intercepted a pass from Wyoming quarterback Jace Allen and then Allen actually tackled the safety, who was clearly goading him after the play.

Allen threw the ball right back at Gerry, but was not flagged. The pick gave Gerry 10 interceptions for his career, just four shy of the school record. The Cornhuskers won the game big 52-17 to move to 2-0 on the season.
