NFL executive compares QB Mitchell Trubisky to former MVP

Is this a fair comparison?

There has been a lot of talk surrounding the quarterback prospects in this year's NFL Draft. One of the most-talked about and intriguing QBs is North Carolina's Mitchell Trubisky, who has been linked to teams all over the board.

The hype surrounding Trubisky has increased in recent months, but an NFL personnel director telling ESPN's Todd McShay that the Tar Heel's skill set reminds him of Green Bay Packers' quarterback Aaron Rodgers is only going to help his draft stock.

Via ESPN:

"One interesting tidbit from QB Mitchell Trubisky's pro day: An NFL personnel director told me that Trubisky's skill set reminds him of Aaron Rodgers entering the league. The similarities: The quick release, the arm talent and the ability stay in balance while moving his feet. A lot of time and motivation went into Rodgers' NFL development, of course, but you see the raw tools with Trubisky."

Rodgers, like Trubisky, wasn't a household name coming out of college like Clemson's DeShaun Watson, but his skill set and untapped potential is what makes him so intriguing and complicated.

Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks of all-time, so comparing Trubisky to him is a bold comparison by this NFL executive.
