Ohio State expected to name new OC on same day former coordinator leaves the program

Urban Meyer has reportedly made his decision.

Days after it was reported that changes could be coming at Ohio State, co-offensive coordinator Tim Beck left the Buckeyes for Tom Herman's Texas and the perennial national title contenders are expected to land former Indiana coach Kevin Wilson for the vacant position.

Despite rumors of Chip Kelly possibly taking the job under Urban Meyer, Wilson reportedly will land at Ohio State after years with Indiana.

Wilson resigned from his position with Indiana in December.

He racked up a 26-47 record at the school. Ohio State opens up next season on the road against Indiana.

Beck replaced Herman at Ohio State after he left for the Houston job. Beck will reportedly serve as the lone offensive coordinator for Herman. Co-offensive coordinator Ed Warinner, the prime play-caller, was reportedly also a coaching candidate at Western Kentucky.

Changes come after quarterback J.T. Barrett ended the night with a 12.7 quarterback rating, with 127 yards passing and two interceptions against Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The Buckeyes were also held to 88 yards rushing, with Barrett registering -2 yards on 11 carries.
