The LSU coaching search has been heating up the past week and there have been a ton of names attached to the job. Jimbo Fisher from Florida State, P.J. Fleck from Western Michigan, Tom Herman from Houston and Larry Fedora from North Carolina are all considered to be on LSU's short list of candidates.

Fisher is supposed to be the leading candidate, but the Tigers are willing to fall back on another candidate in-house according to NOLA.com. Ed Orgeron could become the head coach if pretty much all other options get exhausted. Ross Dellenger of The Advocate reported that Orgeron will meet with athletic director Joe Alleva on Friday regardless of the outcome against Texas A&M on Thursday.
That means we'll likely have some sort of clue as to what LSU plans on doing by then and if the school has moved on from Orgeron and will look to somewhere else to find its next coach.
