The Eagles maintained that despite the obvious move to select whichever quarterback between Jared Goff and Carson Wentz is still on the board at No. 2, Philadelphia would keep Bradford on the roster and expect him to be the starting quarterback/mentor to the quarterback-in-waiting.
That set off reports that Bradford was mad at the decision to move up for a quarterback, and hinted at his departure. Bradford is slated to make $22 million guaranteed on a contract worth $35 million over the next two seasons.
The New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and previous trade partner Denver Broncos all have needs at the quarterback position. Could any of those squads make a deal with Philadelphia?
With the NFL Draft on Thursday, we could see plenty more trades.
Bradford completed 65 percent of his passes for just under 4,000 yards, 19 touchdowns and 14 interceptions last season.
