Alabama put the wraps on the second scrimmage of the Fall Saturday. As expected the quarterback battle was at the center of attention throughout the day, but in the end little has been resolved. The main take away may be this, there is a very good chance Alabama could see a freshman under center in 2016.

Saban: "We'll probably have play more freshmen than we have for a while ...I do not have a problem with a guy's chronological age."

Saban on playing FR QB: I don't look at a guy to see if he's a freshman or sophomore or junior. It's about how fast he grasps his position.

Also on the quarterbacks Saban had this to say,
"There are encouraging things with the quarterbacks. But we want to see more consistency. One day a guy is starting to pull ahead, but that changes the next day. We need a guy to go and do it every single day. The quarterbacks have to understand that you can't make the plays that lose the game."
"All of the quarterbacks are capable. The person who can play with the most consistency will lead us in the first game against USC."
Tide fans should strap in, it looks like this battle will go down to the very end once again.
